While we were there we did the usual: hit up Red Iguana with Becky & Warren, Cafe Rio, visits with family, etc. We even were able to fit in a trip to Antoinette's Jewelry! (We got our antique engagement rings here! you can check out what we got here.) It was so fun to spend time with family and I totally melted watching Owen & his cousins play. So cute!
And since we won't be in town next month for Owen's actual birthday we made him a panda cake.(If I knew it was going to slouch that way I'd have made it into a buddah instead.) The poor guy didn't have a clue as to what was going on and I think he was more afraid of his cake than excited. He didn't touch it the whole time and when we tried to give him a cupcake he started crying! Silly boy.
His face here cracks me up.

Look at you--a panda cake! Way to go! Sorry he didn't appreciate it more. I'm putting money on it that next year is when it will count and he'll take all the cake he can get his little hands on! Glad you guys got to sneak away to the promised land!
