Yesterday I was going on 3 hours of sleep. (And for a more dramatic effect, it was day 89 of having only 4 hours or less). I had to give myself a pat on the back last night after I remembered all I had done that day.
Yesterdays Accomplishments:
Made breakfast and lunch
Unloaded & Loaded dishwasher twice
Cleaned and greased all our cast iron pans
Washed, Dried & Fold two loads of laundry
Fixed the clog in the bathroom sink
Bathed both kids
Changed 17 diapers!
Cleaned out the disaster in the cabinets below the bathroom sink
Picked up the living room and Owen's room 4 times
Pumped 2 bottles
Cleaned, organized and packed ALL of June's clothes
Homework
Took pictures and videos of Owen playing in the snow
Made a meal plan for the week
Made a grocery list for the week
Cleaned out the coat closet
Not bad for a sleep deprived citizen, eh?

sunday afternoon.
One of our New Years goals is to make it through all 3 hours of church from now on. Owen's nap is always at some point during church so we've been going to sacrament and skipping out after the 2nd class so we don't have to deal with a grumpy kid the rest of the day. After doing this for so long we started to feel guilty. Yesterday (with the help of nursery!) we did it! Unfortunately it threw Owen WAY off schedule and made him crazy grumpy and super paranoid that we'd leave him again. To distract him I let him "make cookies," with me while Tim made dinner.
It made a HUGE mess.
It made a HUGE mess.
Flour and brown sugar were EVERYWHERE.
even on yours truly.
shrimp scampy pizza made by chef Tim.
June was obviously not very interested.
I started trying to get him ready for a bath but he WOULD NOT leave the kitchen!
Perhaps we should start a bakery? :-)
Now to clean up the mess.....*sigh.*

survivorman.
For Tim's birthday I threw him a Survivorman themed surprise party. It was a little difficult since Tim was home alll the time on break from rotation but luckily our friends Ryan and Evelyn helped me distract him.
Ryan took Tim to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the game while Evelyn and I set up bedsheets and make the goodies. We picked up a "Happy Birthday" sign from the grocery store and didn't notice it was in Spanish until we put it up! Whoops! Good thing we all learned the Happy Birthday song in primary!
Chips, smores, and chocolate pudding with gummy worms.
Campfire cake. :-)
We also hung up various farm animals and "hunted" for them with Nerf Guns. :-)
I didn't get many pictures since we were scrambling to put it all together in time and we had Owen and June there too. Thanks to all our friends who came and helped us celebrate!
Happy Birthday Tim! Love you so much!

Grandma Brants Visits.
My mom came to visit us last week! It was so nice to have a helping hand and some company! Tim's new rotation keeps him away from home 12 hours a day leaving me car-less with two kids and pretty lonely. Having my mom around for the help and the company was really nice.
Owen was thrilled to have Grandma here since she has the energy to play with him for hours on end. After a day or so he was following her around like a little shadow and mom was so not cool anymore. Ha! He has been talking up a storm lately but still not real words. So far he says Mom, Dad, Hi, Num num, and 'Sup! Most of the time it's just jibber jabber that sounds like he's speaking Tagalog! Hopefully he'll start soon so we can start the potty training process. Having two kids in diaper is keeping me busy!
June is doing really well. She's already 5 weeks and starting to fill out. I weighed her on our scale a week ago and she was just over 8 lbs! (who knows how accurate our scale is though!) We started her on the babywise routine a few weeks ago and she's doing really well. Most nights she'll go right back to sleep after being changed and fed and has even had a few 4 hours stretches already! They are rare but SUCH a relief when they come. Usually she wakes every 2-3 hours so I'm still pretty tired.
We're all doing really well here! Just pretty tired still and anxiously awaiting Tim's graduation! Having one car and a small apartment is getting old REALLY fast. :-)

hair help.
getting my hair cut on monday and I don't know what to ask for! I've had long, short, blunt bangs, swept bangs and everything in between it seems. Right now I'm rockin' the blunt bangs (which is a total lifesaver since I have my hair in a ponytail most days) with suuuuper long hair.
here are my top 3:

Swept Bangs, shoulder length bob
blunt bangs, keep the length, add layers
or copy my sister JoLyn's haircut again. She always looks fab. :-)
