We spent some time with the folks in Salt Lake for about 5 days before we headed to St. George to visit my parents. We assumed we could rent a car that morning with no issue but all but one company had been booked out. We didn't actually leave until past noon and it seemed so strange to be able to drive for hours on end without hitting the ocean.
We had a great gathering the first day we arrived and finally got to meet baby Liam. Owen remembered my mother right away and ran to her with open arms. The boys (Linkon & Owen) wasted no time playing and took to Grandpa's antique toy guns.
The next morning we took Owen to Zion National Park for his 3rd birthday. It happened to be free National Park month so we got in for free and didn't worry about making a huge day of it. We hiked to the Weeping Rock (my favorite) and didn't feel bad at all that it was the only hike we did. We saw lots of lizards, birds and caterpillars on the way and by the time we were back down the kids were exhausted.

Owen remembers all the things from when he was a baby. He remember being carried in the Bjorn and insisted on being carried again. He lasted about 5 minutes before he realized he was too big.
He likes to tickle me, and since it was his birthday...I let him.
We forgot a hat for June so we put her "emergency outfit" skirt on her head. She looked like a Pharaoh the rest of the trip.
He wanted to be swung all the way back to the bus. And we obliged.

Those pictures of you guys with Owen are priceless! You just look like the perfect happy family. Definitely keepsakes! On a side note, I read the SLC Part 1 post, and I'm sorry! Why is it that when you try and plan traveling for sleeping times, it never works and then they are just all the more exhausted?? Not fair. I'm glad you made it through, that would be super tough!
